The global AV Experience Award program recognizes the innovative integration of content, space, and technology to create or enhance an experience. The program seeks to find excellence where the enhanced in-real-life experience or almost-real-life experience could only be achieved through the integrated and innovative use of audiovisual technology.

Being recognized as an AV Experience Award winner will showcase the value created by a project to a wide range of audiences across multiple industries, markets, and disciplines. It will also expose strategic thinkers from multiple markets to new applications and solutions that they can envision in their own industry or mission – leading to new and better outcomes in the future, and new opportunities for award winners.

How it Works

These awards showcase the ability of AV technology to expand human capabilities, or to excite, inspire, or enhance an experience that crosses all markets and industries. Entries are accepted via both direct entry to the program and also from AVIXA-curated entries from the following partner industry awards programs: retail technology europe awards by EHI at EuroShop 2020, World Retail Awards, EUNIS, The Stadium Business Design and Development Awards by Xperiology, EDspaces, and the Spotlight Awards by Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD). Award Submissions

Award submissions are accepted from anyone involved in the project, whether project originator, creative or technology agency that executed, or the customer. Below are some examples of the types of potential submitting agencies:

  • Brand agencies
  • Experience design firms
  • AV consultants, designers, or integrators
  • Manufacturers of audiovisual equipment
  • Brands, facilities, universities, any organization that has implemented an audiovisual solution

In order to be considered, entries need to contain testimonials from end users and other key stakeholders involved in the project.


The judging panel is diverse and comprised of an equal mix of judges from the supply and demand sides of the industry. These will be experts in design, art & architecture, AV technologies, as well as strategic thinkers from multiple disciplines including retail, sports, hospitality, and others. Judges are chosen based upon their experience and recognition among their peers, as well as their ability to think strategically and understand the value brought about by the applied technology. Judges vote independently and in an unbiased capacity.


The winners will be recognized in an awards presentation at the InfoComm 2020 show in Las Vegas, Nevada (travel and accommodation for 2 included) and featured in AVIXA publications that reach a global audience of 75,000.

Cost to Enter

There is no cost to enter the AVIXA AV Experience Awards.
